Shipping & Delivery Policy

1. Overview
Muslin Dhaka ships worldwide. All
orders are dispatched via FedEx or DHL Express. Please read this policy in full
before placing your order, as dispatch times and conditions differ depending on
the type of product you purchase. By placing an order with us, you agree to the
terms set out in this policy.
2. Shipping
Cost
We charge a flat-rate shipping fee
of USD $45 per order to every country in the world. This rate applies equally
regardless of destination. There are no additional handling fees.
The $45 shipping fee covers fully
tracked, insured delivery via FedEx or DHL Express. We select the carrier based
on the most reliable and fastest available service to your destination at the
time of dispatch.
3. Product
Types & Dispatch Times
We offer three types of products.
Dispatch times differ by product type. The product type is clearly stated on
every product page before you place your order.
Type A — Ready-to-Ship
Pieces (Dhaka Muslin Scarves, Shawls & Sarees)

These pieces are
handcrafted and held in stock in Dhaka.
•
Ships from: Dhaka,
Bangladesh.
•
Dispatch within 1–3
business days of payment confirmation.
•
A tracking number is
provided by email within 24 hours of dispatch.
Type B — Curated Products
(e.g., Cervelt Yarn & Specialty Fibers)
•
These products are sourced
from our international supplier partners and dispatched directly from the
supplier’s country of origin (for example, New Zealand for Cervelt).
•
Ships from: The supplier’s
country of origin, as stated on the product page.
•
Dispatch within 3–7
business days of payment confirmation, subject to supplier availability.
•
A tracking number is
provided by email within 24 hours of dispatch from the supplier.
•
Because these products ship
from a different country, customs documentation will correctly reflect the
actual country of dispatch. Muslin Dhaka does not make false declarations on
customs or shipping forms.
Type C — Made-to-Order
& Custom Pieces
•
These are pieces created
specifically to your requirements after your order is confirmed.
•
Ships from: Dhaka,
Bangladesh.
•
Before payment is taken for
any custom order, we will confirm in writing: the full specifications, the
estimated production time, and the total cost.
•
Once production is
complete, dispatch occurs within 1–3 business days.
•
A tracking number is
provided by email within 24 hours of dispatch.
4. Estimated
Delivery Times After Dispatch
The following delivery times are
estimates calculated from the date of dispatch. Actual delivery may be faster
or slower due to customs clearance, public holidays, or local postal conditions
beyond our control.

5. Customs,
Duties & Taxes
All international shipments may be
subject to customs inspection and import duties, taxes, or fees imposed by the
destination country’s customs authority. These charges are not included in our
product prices or the $45 shipping fee.
Import duties and taxes are the
sole responsibility of the customer. Muslin Dhaka has no control over these
charges and cannot predict their amount. If you are unsure of the charges
applicable in your country, we recommend contacting your local customs
authority before placing your order.
For Type B (partner/supplier)
products dispatching from a country other than Bangladesh, customs
documentation will accurately reflect the true country of origin and dispatch.
We are legally required to make accurate customs declarations and cannot modify
them under any circumstances.
6. Delayed
Orders
If your order is delayed for any
reason, we will notify you by email as soon as possible and provide an updated
estimated delivery date. We will work with the carrier to resolve the delay as
quickly as possible.
For EU and UK consumers: this does
not affect your statutory rights. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all
orders will be delivered within 30 days from the date we confirm your order.
7. Lost or
Damaged in Transit
All orders are shipped fully
insured. If your order arrives damaged or is confirmed lost by the carrier,
please contact us within 48 hours of the estimated delivery date at
sharif@muslindhaka.com. Include your order number and, where applicable,
photographs of the damaged item and packaging. We will open a claim with the
carrier and resolve the matter as quickly as possible.
